This short video delves into Weinberger’s work featured in VAMPIRE::MOTHER, a group exhibition curated by Jasmine Wahi at Anat Ebgi Gallery (Wilshire Boulevard location) in Los Angeles. The show ran from January to March 2024 and included a unique virtual extension created by Vortic.art.
The interview explores Weinberger’s insights and intentions behind her work in the exhibition, including the digitized version of Fragments of Perception: Midnight Between Daggers and the New Moon. Developed in collaboration with Vortic.Art’s London team, the digital installation recontextualizes her work within a vampiric atmosphere in a bespoke virtual space conceived by Weinberger.
“I feel there’s something encompassing about digital that allows you to almost have a theatrical experience… there’s just so much that you can do digitally and still maintain your formal studio practice. I think there’s so much that can happen working digitally and working with collaborators like Vortic.Art to create new experiences, new worlds.”
