Image: “love lost, love found”, mixed media installation. Room constructed to house a mirrored stage in the shape of a shell reminiscent of the Botticelli “Birth of Venus” painting. In the center, a striper pole without a dancer, only chained bananas in a pitch dark room marked with “love lost, love found” graffiti playing over 3 hours of looped music. Artist interviewed stripers and created a playlist of their favorite songs, which the stripers usually have to pay or tip the club DJ to play when their on stage. The installation comments on the industry of sex and the complexities within it.
